W.O.D. Tuesday 1-15-2013

Today is a special day where my workout partner and I began doing a workout 3 years ago to remember the loss of his son. We call it the, “Jabberwocky.” We will be holding workout times at 6am and 5pm only.

5 Power Cleans
5 Push Press
5 Box Jumps
4 Power Cleans
4 Push Press
4 Box Jumps
3,2,1

Rx’d is up to 185 with a 30+ box jump. This is made to be as heavy as possible and as intense as possible. So see what you can do but within reasonable speed and intensity.

  1. I need to go to Jackson County this evening and have to leave before 5. I plan on working with a couple of coaches here at school. Will the workout be for time, or just timed? It looks like a sub 10 minute workout, but what do I know. Of course there will sufficient warm-up and stretching first. let me know and thanks

    1. The workout is for time. Warm up properly. Go heavy on the lifts and high on the jump BUT within reason. THis is a sub 10min WOD. More in the 7min range so keep up intensity with form and power. Good Luck!

  2. Slick and easy dessert/breakfast.

    1 banana, 2 tbs almond butter, 2 tbs coconut milk

    divide up between two servings. Top with cinnamon or shredded coconut. You could even warm up a little and mix together. Freeze and blend in a smoothie. Whatever you can think of. Nice little treat!
