Today will be a skill day. A year ago I was introduced to my first Turkish getup and I’m not sure how happy I am about it. However, we will use a workout that I created to honor the 82nd Airborne. It is a great skill builder and fullbody blaster.

One complete getup starts at the floor with the weight over your shoulder arm at full extension and continues into an overhead squat. The rep is not complete until your body has come to rest at the floor with the weight still over your shoulder at full extension. If the weight comes crashing down with your body then it is no rep. You can switch arms however you see fit.
